Challenge
Ambition to restore position in the insurance market triggered a cultural change
When the performance of an insurance company got under high pressure with a drop in market position, we were approached by their CHRO and new CEO to support the top team transforming their team effectiveness. This turned into a full-blown cultural change journey
Approach
Culture transformation program cascaded through the whole organization
Co-designed new aspiration, values and change story with
the top 40 leadership team
Assessed a baseline to measure culture using the CTT Barrett’s Cultural Values Assessment – (see example on next slide)
Co-created the company’s purpose statement bottom up and top-down
Created “The Culture Club” – 8 leaders of top 40 trained as
co-facilitators thorough Train-the-trainer program to support in aligning and embedding the whole organization around
the new change story through face to face 2-day workshops with mixed groups at all levels
Embedding the new culture through workshops for leadership teams of each division, focused on capability building and creating personal and collective commitments to the change
50% of employees had joined in the last 18 months and were not a part of the initial Living Our Culture workshops in 2017. CoVid situation led to Work From Home policy encouraging us to shift to a virtual model at pace. “Bite-sized” videos to explain key concepts and models – allowing users to view in their own time and reflect appropriately were developed and virtual live sessions launched.
